An innocent girl harbours a dream to excel, to one day stand on a stage belonging to her. With her family and friends down at the stage to support her. She is grown up from a family showering her with lots of love, yet she is ready to venture out from her comfort zone, to find a stage belonging to Vivian Tan.
Year 2007, I graduated from Temasek Polytechnic, was eager to find a job related to my field Food Science and Nutrition. Not long after, I found the Job, but everything was routine, being the real and cruelty world in society, everyone just took care of what they have to do and I never have someone to lend me an extra helping hand when I was so new in the industry.
After months of struggle, I quitted and came across this Suntec Career Fair in October 2007, which is my entrance to Peter Tan Organization (PTO®). Weeks later, I got to join the base camp which I find it very interesting when I heard about it. That day I was very nervous, as I was going to meet the Chairman of this Top organisation. Expecting him to be someone stern.
After the one day base camp, I was totally wrong. I felt that this is a very special place that outside can’t find. Mr Peter Tan is a humble man, friendly, very willing to share his expertise and knowledge with us. And I do respect him a lot.
That time in my life, I knew I am making a serious decision of joining the Insurance Industry as no one supports my decision at all. However, I feel so strongly this is the route that I have to take. As I am the elderest in my family and I know it right down my heart my diploma income can never provide my family with a good life. Besides that, this organisation has values that I feel I share it too, Family, self then organisation, and Love, Trust and Respect.
And I have a very good manager and mentor that support me a lot financially when I first started out and mentally too. I will always remember I am born into a Top organisation and I will work hard so that I can play my part in this organisation too.
Time flies, a year has passed, I feel honoured that I am in Peter Tan Organization (PTO®), under Shanny, my manager, but not under other organisation as it is a platform that can let me excel not only in sales, but other areas too, like doing my own business.
Peter Tan Organization (PTO®) is indeed a stage that can bring me closer to my dream. Few years down the road, I always want to build my own business yet continue to contribute my part to Peter Tan Organization (PTO®), a place that where I succeed. Visit me @ petertan.com.sg
